February 2017

  • Little Fox began giving us smiles, long stretches of sleep at night (this lasted a blissful six months) and his sweet little personality started to shine through. He started to add chubbiness to little legs, arms and cheeks.

  • Many summer days meant ample outings. Kiwi Valley Farm, the beach and parks.

  • Poppa Don visited and met Fox. Mae was thrilled to have an extra person to cuddle as she got used to being a big sister.

  • The garden went wild in the Summer heat. Giving us vegetables and herbs despite being mostly untended. Monarch caterpillars caught Miss Mae's attention and were often brought to us to admire.

January 2017

• Those first six days we waited. Oh how we waited. Thankfully on the evening of the sixth day my labour commenced. Grandma Ann and Grandad Kevin were here waiting with us too.

• On January the seventh, in the very early hours our little boy arrived. We were (are of course still are) delighted. Mae became a big sister.

• The rest of the month was spent adjusted to being a family of four. Family and friends were introduced to Fox. A tiring, and newborn blur.

Playing catch ups.

I have avoided writing here as I have so much to catch up on and 2018 is right around the corner. With the weeks going so quicky it seems like getting up to date with 2017 is near impossible.

So I am going to attempt a bit of a month by month summary before the year is out.  A few photos accompanied by a sprinkling of words to document those precious memories.

A toddler and a baby have left me with little inclination or time to prioritise time here on the blog but oh how my fingertips are itching to type my thoughts here again.  With a little luck and motivation I might even get Mae's birthday post done too.

So bear with me and get set for 2017 spam.
